On May 28th, a group of users from our organization, accompanied by our team of professionals and volunteers, experienced a very special day at the Tibidabo Amusement Park. We had the pleasure of participating, once again, in the traditional charity event “Estiu Sense Barreres” (Summer Without Barriers), an annual initiative that turns the park into a benchmark for inclusion and fun for everyone.

The main goal of this highly anticipated event is to bring leisure and culture closer to people with functional diversity, inviting organizations and groups from all over Catalonia completely free of charge. For us, it has been a wonderful opportunity to break the routine, strengthen bonds, and enjoy one of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks.

A Day Full of Emotions, Laughter, and Empowerment

From early in the morning, the excitement was already in the air. Once at the top of the mountain, the group enjoyed classic attractions like the Airplane or the Carousel, as well as the shows and the breathtaking views of the city. Beyond the adrenaline and the fun, what truly made the day great were the shared moments: group lunches, conversations, mutual support when getting on the rides, and the smiles of complicity that filled the park throughout the day.

These types of outings are much more than just a day trip. They are key spaces to:

  • Promote autonomy for our users within community environments.

  • Enhance real social inclusion, making diversity visible in public leisure spaces.

  • Improve emotional well-being, creating positive and meaningful memories for everyone.
